LET'S CELEBRATE PART 3


Bon bah voilà, nous y sommes.
Bien sur on pourrait en discuter des heures et des heures, mais de mon propre chef aujourd'hui, je me sens afro-américain
Pas vous ?

Et croyez moi, le 12 septembre 2001 je ne me suis senti en aucun cas "américain".

Mais aujourd'hui je dis chapeau bas.
En france on a préféré le nabot à une femme (pas top ok, mais définitivement moins pire que le pas beau à talonnettes).
Aux USA, cette sombre triple buze de Bush Jr (Bretzel Power !!) s'en va, et rien que cette idée mériterait à elle seule un LET'S CELEBRATE
ils viennent (en masse) d'élire un afro-américain.
Après leur passé de ségrégation pas si lointain, je le dis sincérement,  chapeau les ricains.
respect !

Sa tâche va être plus que difficile. il va devoir reprendre en main un pays par bien des cotés dévastés.
Mais demain est un autre jour, ne gâchons pas l'instant présent, c'est en gros la seule chose que l'on ait.

Et puis, restons sur nos gardes, mais laissons lui, pour le moment, le bénéfice du doute.

Thank you for celebrating with us. This celebration would not exist with out the men and women before us who stood up to hate and injustice. Many of those men and women lost their lives and their blood was shed. The abolitionists, freedom riders, civil rights fighters. All of us who campagined day and night to help seal the deal. This new deal that is the new hope of our nation. The words of our Declaration of Independence have finally become a reality no longer an ideologie. We hold these truths to be self evident that ALL men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Yesterday changed my life. I worked the voting polls in a precent which is in one of the predomintantly african/american lowest income areas of the city in which I live. It was amazing to see the proud faces and eyes filled with hope of each african/american voter that arrived to cast their ballot. I asked each voter if it was their first time voting and almost everyone replied yes. To, which I appluaded and then thanked each individual for exercising their rights. This was the first presidental election that I voted and volunteered in, because this is the first president that shares my views, hopes and prayers. The first president that grew up poor(like most of us including me) and made it on his own. I am truly proud to be an american for the first time in my life. Now the rest of the world can see that most americans do want unity/peace/global economy.<br /> YES WE DID!!!
